“Disposable formulaic action-packed heist thriller.”

Brit director Guy Ritchie (“Sherlock Holmes”/”Fountain of Youth”) directs and writes this disposable formulaic action-packed heist thriller.
The clever lawyer Rachel Wild (Erza Gonzalez) is a banking asset management specialist, where she makes sure the bank collects the debts owed them. Her client is the arrogant banking official Bobby Sheen (Rosamund Pike). Rachel’s loyal security team are led by Sid (Henry Cavill) and Bronco (Jake Gyllenhaal), who make sure she’s safe.
Rachel has targeted the crime lord billionaire Manny Salazar (Carlos Bardem), who owes Bobby’s company one billion dollars. Manny’s goon (Kristofer Hivju) killed the previous collector.
The first hour is a drag, taking too long to explain how the debt collection operation works. It leads to Rachel using a series of simple legal moves to retrieve the crime lord Manny’s debt for her client. His lawyer (Fisher Stevens) forces Rachel to meet with them to settle Manny’s debt on his private island, where he has an army of goons.
The characters are one-dimensional, the narrative is muddled, the action sequences are over-the-top (with explosions, trap doors & motorcycle chases). It results in one of Ritchie’s biggest duds.
