The colorful documentary celebrates New Orleans during Mardi Gras. In the Les Blank(“Hot Pepper”/”Dry Wood”/”A Well Spent Life”) film we observe how to eat crayfish with New Orlean’s gusto, St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated, we catch marchers prepping for the big Mardi Gras parade, there’s a jazz funeral for a member of the Zulu society, we catch the Tchoupitoulas society doing their Indian thing, we watch bits of the Mardi Gras parade and it ends with a parade for St. Joseph.
