Brit director Robert Schwartzman (“The Unicorn”/”The Good Half”) films a conventional rock music doc on the 1960s Brit band The Zombies and their 60-year career. They’re known for their hits “She’s Not There” and “Time of the Season.”
The Zombies are keyboardist Rod Argent, singer Colin Blunstone, guitarist Paul Atkinson, drummer Hugh Grundy and bassist Chris White.
In the 1960s, the group invaded America. The film uses their music, interviews and archival footage to tell how the band formed in 1964 and despite going separate ways for a time, reunited to keep rocking on.
Fans of the group will probably get into it more than those who are unfamiliar with the music.
It played at the SXSW Film Festival.
