Larry Buchanan(“Beyond The Doors”/”Mars Needs Women”/”The Loch Ness Horror”) is director and co-writer with Harold Hoffman of this well-executed courtroom drama set in Dallas. Most of the drama takes place in the courtroom, with dramatic flashbacks throughout.
Ruby Jenkins (Anne McAdams) is the mother accused of rape for encouraging her underage 14-year-old daughter Linda (June Adler) to have a sexual relationship with the 16-year-old Mexican boy, George Gomez (Roland Royter). The viewer hears the case and must make the call as if on the jury.
The folk songs include “Boil Them Cabbage Down” (The Alpine Trio), “Turtledove Song” (The Lost River Trio), and the title song (Harold Hoffman & Larry Buchanan).
