A backstage romance about a movie theater usherette (Betty Grable) who has a crush on womanizing band leader Charles “Buddy” Rogers. The uninspiring musical is directed by Robert Florey(“Outpost in Morocco”/”The Florentine Dagger”/”God is My Co-Pilot”). It’s based on the story by Maxwell Stone & Bill Thomas. The screenplay is by Garrett Grant, Seena Owen, and Howard J. Green.

The film’s memorable scene is the sounds effects man Rufe Davis performing onstage. Radio’s Fibber McGee and Molly (Jim and Marion Jordan) do a comic routine. The slight story has Betty getting a break to sing in the theater and making the heartthrob band leader jealous so he marries her in a slapstick marriage onstage.

This was Betty Grable’s first appearance under her new Paramount contract.
