“Most engaging.”

The acclaimed 58-year-old Malaysian-born, Taiwan-based auteur Tsai Ming-liang (“Rebels of the Neon God”/”Face”/”Stray Dogs”) records a most engaging over two hour unscripted conversation with his favorite actor, business partner and housemate, the 48-year-old Lee Kang-sheng. Their talk, taking place one afternoon, in an unfurnished country house, covers a lot of topics that include their creative cinema collaborations, sexuality, thoughts about dying, cooking, Buddhism, favorite countries and how working together keeps them both motivated. A single stationary camera records the action in this unique, passive and distinctly personal film. A film geared to fans of the two leads.
