Unimpressive Tim Holt B Western. It’s directed by Lesley Selander (“War Party”/”The Texican”) and written by Norman Houston. It was filmed in B|W, and mostly on the RKO Ranch in Encino.
Cowboy drifters, Kansas Jones (Tim Holt) and his ladies man Mexican-Irish sidekick Chito Rafferty (Richard Martin), look for work in the cattle town of Cedar Hill, Arizona. In the local saloon they come to the aid of cattle ranch owner Dusty Willis (Jacqueline White), who is fighting with the shady saloon owner gambler Burrows (Reed Hadley) over taking all the money of her weak-willed brother Harry (Robert Clarke) in cards. As a reward, she offers them work as cowhands. Harry decides to allow Burrows to rustle sis’s cattle to pay off his gambling debts. Burrow’s in turn hires the outlaw Ringo (Tom Tyler) to rustle the cattle. When Kansas and Chito stop the rustler’s, the guilt-ridden Harry confesses to sis. When she gets Kansas to pay off Burrows, things take a bad turn when Ringo returns to kill Burrows and take the money owed him for the job. It’s up to the boys to straighten everything out before splitting for Prescott.
