“Resembles a student film.”

Underground gay legendary director Kenneth Anger (“Scorpio Rising”/”Inauguration of the Pleasure Dome”/”Lucifer Rising”) shows off on a rack a rich array of colorful evening gowns, all flapper dresses from the 1920s, then has his Hollywood star (Yvonne Marquis) pick out a puce gown to wear and doll herself up with some expensive looking perfume. It seems the garments were owned by his grandmother and thereby the pic was shot as a tribute to her. If that info wasn’t in the liner notes, it would have passed me by. The 19-year-old Anger has failed to win me over with such a slight pic, one that resembles a student film.
