“The film is needed as more proof of the Holocaust.”
Reviewed by Dennis Schwartz
This important historical documentary verifies that the Holocaust took place. The essential film is directed by French filmmaker Jan Czariewski. He uses the only known photographs from inside the Warsaw Ghetto during the April 1943 uprising that were not taken by the Germans. The photos were taken by a 23-year-old firefighter in the ghetto, Zbigniew Leszek Grzywaczewski, who filmed how brutally the Jews were treated by the German soldiers and the squalor in the ghetto. The photos were found by his surviving brother hidden in his apartment’s floorboard after the brave amateur photographer’s death. The photos were recently released by the remaining family members so the world wouldn’t forget what happened.
This well-made quality documentary offers historical truths about a tragic event that must never be forgotten or compromised or repeated.
The film is needed as more proof of the Holocaust, in a world where there are still so many ignorant and bigoted Holocaust deniers around who can’t seem to get over wanting to cover up an ugly truth they can’t confront.
